BUNKER EVENTS LIMITED INVITES YOU TO THE FIFTH BUNKERING SYMPOSIUM IN ANTWERP
The Bunkering Symposium is designed to promote active delegate engagement and frank, lively debate, focusing on the most important issues in bunkering today:
- Global shipping recovery – are we there yet?
- Finance and banking – where has all the money gone?
- The switch to 0.10% sulphur – the next big shock?
- Good quality, low price and ample availability – impossible dream or realistic aim?
- Cybercrime – no one is immune!
- LNG bunkering – vast progress but still some way to go
The Bunkering Symposium comprises two fabulous networking events and a day and a half of intensive conference discussion in the heart of Antwerp.
Bunkering Symposium 2012 was the first forum to examine the emotive issue of ‘chemical waste’ in bunker fuels, enforced debunkering in the Netherlands and the legal, financial and operational problems this caused to suppliers, barge companies and bunker buyers throughout the region. It also took the lead in highlighting the rapidly-changing attitudes towards LNG bunkering, both at sea and inland, despite the misgivings of many in the industry.
This October, The Bunkering Symposium will again spearhead industry thinking, through careful selection of the hottest topics at the time, accompanied by intelligent and informed debate. Whatever your involvement in bunkering, shipping, energy or the wider maritime and transport industries, you will benefit by participating in The Bunkering Symposium.
Social highlights: include a welcome reception and dinner at the Hilton Antwerp, and an exclusive reception and dinner at the bustling Appelmans Brasserie in the heart of medieval Antwerp.
Who will attend: National Oil Companies · Independent Suppliers · Bunker Traders · Brokers · Barge Operators · Shipowners · Major Oil Companies · Shipping Agents · Law Firms · IT Companies · Testing Agencies · Lubricant Suppliers · International Banks · Blending, metering and other equipment manufacturers
Previous attendees: The Bunkering Symposium 2009, 2010 and 2012 each attracted 100 - 150 delegates, of which over 30% were shipowners and operators - a far higher proportion of bunker buyers than most bunker events.
